Nickolls & Perks, High Street, Stourbridge (2008). Nickolls and Perks was established in the year 1797. However, the building dates back to 1697 when there is reference to John Baker who inherited the family home of 37 High Street, Stourbridge in that year. His inheritance included a shop, outhouses, barns, stables, malt house and washing pool. This appears to be when trading first began on the site of what is now a very impressive building and respected business.
